Position:
Part-time accounting clerk position who will help with bookkeeping responsibilities for commercial real estate properties in the greater Boston area. Job requires two business days on site per week in Back Bay corporate office.
Primary Responsibilities:
Participate in the Accounts Payable function, which includes but is not limited to the following: Open incoming mail and emails containing vendor invoices. Review and process invoice in proper entity, including general ledger account classification Reconcile bulk invoices that need to be allocated to different entities, i.e. Home Depot monthly invoice Prepare check runs Mail payments to vendors File paid invoices with remittance accordingly Participate in the Accounts Receivable function, which includes but is not limited to the following: Prepare monthly tenant rent invoices and send to tenants Prepare tenant billback invoices, including electric and property tax reconciliations, and chargeback items Process cash applications for tenant payments received Help with preparing monthly financial statement reconciliations for balance sheet items, including PP&E, prepaids, amortization, and accruals.
Qualifications Required:
Prior bookkeeping experience Must be proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office (intermediate excel) Strong integrity and work ethic Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills
