QuickBooks Specialist Description:
Our Organization Ourmunity art studio, Art Lab Everett, offers on-site classes and self-guided artmaking opportunities for all ages through a variety of programming. Our off-site enrichment programs bring artmaking workshops to local schools,anizations, and public events. We support the growth and development of the arts in Everett by providing physical space for artmaking, hostingmunity arts events, and collaborating with localanizations throughout Greater Boston Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage our financial operations using QuickBooks Online. The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of non-profit fund accounting, allocation tracking, and grant management. This role reports directly to the Treasurer.
Key Responsibilities Transaction Management:
Record day-to-day financial transactions, manage Accounts Payable/Receivable, record all membership and contribution activity.
Reconciliation:
Perform monthly bank, credit card, and other reconciliations.
Fund Tracking:
Utilize QuickBooks classes, tags, or projects to allocate expenses accurately across specific grants and programs. Enter invoices to pay vendors, working closely with staff to find the correct expense codes, funding sources, exhibitions, and projects Financial ing: Generate monthly financial statements, including Statement of Activities (Ie Statement) and Statement of Financial Position (Balance Sheet) for board review.
Compliance Support:
Maintainanized records to assist with year-end regulatory filings (Both IRS Form 990 & Massachusetts AG Form PC). Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience, specifically with a non-profitanization.
Software Expertise:
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO Certification is preferred).
Technical Skills:
Strong mastery of Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
Core Knowledge:
Understanding of non-profit fund accounting rules and familiarity with GAAP.
