Accounting Assistant

Planet Subaru, located on Route 53 in Hanover, Massachusetts, approximately 30 minutes south of downtown Boston, seeks full time help in the accounting department to assist us as we continue to grow.

JOB DESCRIPTION

: Most duties involve data processing with documents and on the computer, including basic accounting, and processing of Massachusetts motor vehicle transactions on the DRIVE program. The work is quite varied so it isn't monotonous. However, it very detailed-oriented because errors can cause problems. You will be joining a team of five people in the accounting office who enjoy their jobs and create a pleasant atmosphere in a nice sunny facility. Pay is $22 with any overtime at $33 per hour. We offer health and dental insurance, 401k matching, and paid vacation.

SCHEDULE

Approximately 40 hours per week, the hours are 8:30am to 5pm. One week you will work Monday through Friday, and the next week you will week Monday through Thursday, off Friday, and on Saturday.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Ability is more important than specific accounting or dealership experience, but you must have computer literacy with Microsoft Office, organizational skills, and efficiency and accuracy with detailed paperwork. You must enjoy an environment which is sometimes fast-paced, and get along well with others. Car dealership or general office experience are helpful but not required. Accounting experience is preferred but not required. You must be able to pass a criminal background check.
