Robert Half Accounting Clerk Haverhill, MA Apply Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Haverhill, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily financial operations. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Verify and process invoices to ensure accurate financial records.
- Prepare and issue customer billing statements in a timely manner.
- Manage vendor accounts, including maintaining accurate records and resolving discrepancies.
- Monitor and follow up on past-due payments to ensure timely collections.
- Handle cash receipts and accurately record transactions.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of financial transactions and communications.
- Assist with general data entry tasks to support accounting operations.
- Collaborate with team members to address and resolve accounting-related issues.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and customers via email and other channels. Requirements
- Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
- Experience with invoice processing and customer billing.
- Strong skills in data entry with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of vendor management practices and procedures.
- Ability to effectively follow up on outstanding payments and maintain positive relationships.
- Familiarity with email correspondence for clear and detail-oriented communication.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Prior experience in an accounting or clerical role is preferred.
