Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll and Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing payroll processing, ensuring compliance with labor and tax laws, and maintaining accurate financial records. Your expertise will support the organization's financial health and ensure the timely and accurate handling of employee compensation and accounting functions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of payroll systems and accounting software, contributing to a well-organized and compliant financial environment. Responsibilities Process payroll accurately and efficiently using systems such as Deltek Computer Ease, ensuring timely payments for all employees. Maintain and update employee data within HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) and payroll systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. Ensure compliance with employment & labor law, payroll tax regulations, and governmental accounting standards by staying current on relevant legal updates. Assist with month-end closing procedures by performing account reconciliations, analyzing financial data, and preparing journal entries for general ledger adjustments. Handle sensitive information with discretion while managing payroll data entry and maintaining confidentiality at all times. Accounts payable processing and Data Entry Experience Proven experience in payroll management combined with strong accounting background; experience with corporate accounting preferred. Hands-on knowledge of multiple payroll systems including Deltek Computer Ease Strong understanding of employment & labor law, payroll tax law, and governmental regulations affecting payroll operations. Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or equivalent), financial software (QuickBooks or similar), and general ledger accounting practices. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy in data entry.
