Job Description
Robert Half Bookkeeper Weymouth, MA Apply Description We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Weymouth, Massachusetts. In this role, you will manage financial records, oversee daily accounting tasks, and ensure transactions are accurately recorded. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and a strong grasp of accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
- Record and categorize bills and transactions in QuickBooks with precision.
- Manage accounts payable processes, including check runs after necessary approvals.
- Ensure timely payment of invoices and maintain accurate vendor records.
- Prepare monthly trial balances and make necessary adjustments to the general ledger.
- Support month-end closing activities by posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.
- Handle intercompany transactions and reconcile accounts across multiple entities.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial data accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and maintain compliance with accounting standards.
- Generate financial reports and provide insights for decision-making purposes.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation. Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and knowledge of accounting software.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations and general ledger adjustments.
- Familiarity with managing intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Solid communication skills for collaboration and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a contract position.
