In this vital role, you will manage a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Your expertise will support our organization's financial health by maintaining precise bookkeeping practices, reconciling accounts, and preparing essential financial reports. Responsibilities Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks. Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations regularly to ensure consistency across all financial statements. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently while verifying accuracy. Prepare journal entries, including debits & credits, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting tasks with precision. Assist in payroll processing and manage related tax compliance requirements. Support budgeting activities by analyzing account data and preparing financial reports. Perform month-end closing procedures, including account analysis and financial report writing. Handle miscellaneous bookkeeping duties such as 10-key typing, data entry, and supporting audit preparations. Requirements Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks. Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, GAAP, and double-entry bookkeeping methods. Experience with governmental or non-profit accounting is a plus. Knowledge of technical accounting concepts including general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and account analysis. Familiarity with payroll processing and tax experience related to payroll taxes is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to perform accurate account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy. Strong communication skills for financial report writing and collaboration with team members.
