Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Payroll and Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in managing payroll processing, ensuring compliance with employment and labor laws, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR-related benefits administration, daily deposit procedures, and accounting practices. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth financial operations of our organization while ensuring adherence to legal standards and company policies. Duties Process payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely payments to employees. Manage daily deposits and reconcile financial transactions related to payroll and other accounting activities. Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, including regulations related to wages, benefits, and employee rights. Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Maintain detailed records of payroll transactions, benefits enrollment, and legal documentation. Prepare reports related to payroll, taxes, and benefits for internal review and external audits. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure proper documentation of employment status, labor law compliance, and benefit administration. Stay updated on changes in employment law that impact payroll processing and benefits administration. Skills Strong knowledge of payroll processing systems and accounting software. In-depth understanding of employment & labor law as it pertains to payroll and employee benefits. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Effective communication skills for collaborating with HR, finance teams, and external agencies. Problem-solving skills to address discrepancies or legal compliance issues promptly. Familiarity with daily deposit procedures and financial reconciliation processes. This position is ideal for candidates passionate about ensuring accurate payroll operations while maintaining compliance with legal standards and supporting employee benefits programs.
Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
