Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Accounting Clerk and become a vital part of our financial operations! In this energetic role, you will support the accounting department by managing essential financial data, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help streamline our financial processes, contributing to the overall success of our organization. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your expertise in corporate accounting while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Perform data entry and maintain accurate records within QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, UltiPro, Ceridian, ADP, Kronos, PeopleSoft, and Paychex. Reconcile accounts on the general ledger to ensure precise financial statements and balance sheet accuracy. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently while adhering to company policies and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Prepare journal entries and conduct account analysis to support month-end and year-end closing activities. Assist with payroll management tasks using systems like ADP or UltiPro, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing. Support internal controls compliance including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements and perform audit preparations as needed. Conduct account reconciliation procedures for various ledgers including bank statements, credit accounts, and tax-related accounts. Contribute to budgeting processes by providing relevant financial data and insights for departmental planning. Skills Strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and journal entries. Proficiency with accounting software QuickBooks, or similar platforms. Experience with payroll management systems like ADP or UltiPro is highly desirable. Knowledge non-profit accounting practices is a plus. Ability to perform detailed data entry with high accuracy (10 key typing skills). Familiarity with tax regulations and experience in tax preparation or reporting is advantageous. Excellent math skills combined with strong analytical abilities for account analysis and account reconciliation tasks. Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and support internal audits or external reviews. $22.50 - $27.00 per hour
