ProSearch is seeking an Accounting Assistant in South Portland, Maine with experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, billing, reconciliations, financial reporting, budget tracking, general ledger support, and Microsoft Excel. This full-time Accounting Assistant opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience as an Accounting Assistant, Bookkeeper, Accounting Clerk, Billing Specialist, Accounts Payable Specialist, Accounts Receivable Specialist, or Accounting Coordinator who are looking to grow their accounting careers within a well-established media organization. The successful candidate will maintain financial records, process invoices and payments, support reporting activities, and contribute to the day-to-day success of the accounting department while gaining exposure to a dynamic media business. Top Skills Needed Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Bookkeeping & Financial Recordkeeping Microsoft Excel & Spreadsheet Management Budget Tracking & Financial Reporting Billing, Payment Processing & Administrative Support Key Responsibilities Process and track accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Manage payment processing and maintain accurate financial records. Support employee timecard administration and payroll-related recordkeeping. Assist with budget tracking and financial monitoring activities. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports. Reconcile financial data and support accounting operations. Work extensively in Microsoft Excel to maintain spreadsheets and reporting tools. Learn and utilize accounting and media industry software, including Great Plains and Marketron Assist with general accounting, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, financial administration, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related office support functions. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including spreadsheet management and data organization. Understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial recordkeeping. Experience handling financial data with a high degree of accuracy. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. Willingness and ability to learn new accounting and business software systems. Position Details Full-time, on-site in South Portland, Maine Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Overtime opportunities available

Salary:

$62,400 annually
