Bookkeeper (Part-Time)

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience, accounting background, and demonstrated knowledge of ERP systems in a manufacturing environment Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage day- to-day accounting transactions and provide general administrative support across our operations. This role is ideal for an experienced bookkeeper who is comfortable handling transactional accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting process improvements—including participation in the implementation of a new ERP system. Key Responsibilities Bookkeeping & Accounting Duties Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions in a timely and accurate manner Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed Support monthly closing activities, including monthly journal entries, bank reconciliation and other periodic accounting tasks ERP & Systems Support Learn and effectively use accounting software Participate in the implementation of a new ERP system, including testing, training, and documentation Identify opportunities to improve bookkeeping processes and administrative workflows Administrative & Office Support Retrieve and distribute mail from two plant locations Provide general administrative support, including supply ordering, filing, document preparation, and data entry Assist with coordinating meetings, events, and employee activities Required Skills & Qualifications Proven bookkeeping experience Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a part-time, on-site role Willingness and ability to learn new systems and processes Strong communication skills Reliable transportation to travel between local plant locations Preferred Qualifications Experience with ERP systems Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Associate's Degree in Accounting or related fieldSimilar jobs in Auburn Hills, MI
