Accounts Payable Specialist

About the Opportunity We are partnering with a stable, privately held manufacturing company in the Brighton area that is looking to add an Accounts Payable Specialist to their team. This is a hands-on role within a collaborative, team-oriented environment where you'll play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payables while supporting overall accounting operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a smaller company setting and wants to make a direct impact. Key Responsibilities Process invoices and enter payables into the accounting system Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and resolve discrepancies Monitor accounts to ensure payments are current and accurate Perform monthly reconciliations to general ledger accounts Prepare month-end journal entries related to accounts payable Maintain and process 1099s Manage vendor setup, including W-9 collection and documentation Run aging reports and assist with check runs Maintain intercompany billings and payment applications Support the Controller with special projects and reporting Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including phone support Qualifications 4+ years of accounts payable experience Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred Experience with ERP systems (Plex, SAP, Epicor, or similar) Strong Excel and computer skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, hands-on environment What's Offered Competitive compensation Flexible work schedule 401(k) with company match Health insurance Paid time off Supportive, team-oriented culture Apply Today If you're looking for a stable opportunity where you can contribute and grow within a manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Pay:

$25.56 - $30.79 per hour
