As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Part-Time Accounting Specialist to support our finance and accounting operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional who values accuracy, structure, and efficiency, and is looking for a flexible part-time role within a professional and collaborative environment. ________________________________________ Position Overview The Accounting Specialist will play a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable processing, and financial data management. This position requires hands-on experience with QuickBooks and SAP, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and discretion. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Perform accurate and timely data entry in QuickBooks and SAP Support general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations Manage accounts payable cycle, including invoice verification, coding, and payment preparation Coordinate with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment inquiries Prepare and execute bank deposits, including checks and incoming payments Record cash receipts and ensure proper documentation and posting Assist with month-end close and maintain organized financial records Monitor and ensure accuracy of financial transactions and supporting documentation Maintain structured filing systems for accounting records and compliance purposes Support internal controls and adhere to company accounting policies and procedures ________________________________________ Qualifications 3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or general ledger support Proficiency in QuickBooks and/or SAP strongly preferred Solid understanding of accounts payable, bank transactions, and GL processes High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and manage confidential financial information with integrity Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office tools Strong written and verbal communication skills ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Experience in a small to mid-sized business environment Familiarity with audit support and documentation processes
