Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage our daily financial operations. In this role, you will keep our finances accurate and organized, specifically tailored to the fast-paced home remodeling industry. You will work closely with our production team and management to track project costs and ensure smooth financial workflows. You must be proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Excel.
Core Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
Audit vendor bills and receipts to verify accuracy and remittance information, and Enter vendor bills and receipts into QuickBooks accurately to prepare for timely payments.
Payroll Processing:
Process weekly employee payroll using a third-party platform and log all hours and figures into QuickBooks.
Accounts Receivable:
Enter customer invoices directly into QuickBooks or sync them via our CRM system.
Cash Management:
Process and enter weekly cash deposits into QuickBooks, and apply these against invoices in QuickBooks.
Job Costing:
Run and analyze Job Cost reports at or near project completion to track profitability and allowance items.
Performance Reporting:
Generate monthly Sales and Leads reports directly from the CRM system.
Marketing ROI Analysis:
Track monthly marketing costs against leads and sales to calculate the cost per lead for each marketing category.
Tax Compliance:
Prepare monthly Sales & Use Tax returns.
Office Support:
Provide professional phone support for clients, vendors, and team members.
Ad Hoc Projects:
Complete other financial tasks and administrative projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
Software Expertise:
Proven experience using QuickBooks Desktop is required and intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel preferred.
Bookkeeping Experience:
5+ Years bookkeeping experience preferred.
Industry Experience:
Background in construction, home remodeling, or trades is highly preferred.
CRM Knowledge:
Experience with industry CRM software is a plus. Attention to

High accuracy in data entry, financial tracking, and job cost reporting.
Communication:
Strong phone etiquette and professional communication skills.
