Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented part-time Bookkeeper to join a team in Minnesota on a long-term contract basis. This position supports day-to-day accounting operations with a strong focus on invoicing, reconciliations, payables, receivables, and media-related financial tracking. The ideal candidate brings hands-on bookkeeping experience, strong accuracy, and the ability to keep financial records organized while working effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Generate recurring client billing, prepare monthly estimates, and distribute invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Post incoming payments, update account records, and communicate with clients regarding past-due balances and payment arrangements.
- Process vendor and media-related payments, including advance funding requests, while maintaining dependable follow-through on inquiries.
- Reconcile QuickBooks records with internal financial trackers and complete bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Monitor media activity through detailed spreadsheets, compare invoices against post logs, and investigate discrepancies to resolution.
- Track billing adjustments such as credits, overages, and underages to ensure account balances remain accurate.
- Review transaction coding for consistency and maintain well-organized financial and billing documentation.
- Support daily bookkeeping tasks by updating client and vendor accounts, researching variances, and keeping records current. Requirements
- 1+ years of detail-focused bookkeeping experience in a hands-on accounting role.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online for daily financial processing and reconciliation work.
- Practical experience managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Strong background in bank reconciliations, account reconciliation, and transaction review.
- Solid Microsoft Excel skills for tracking, analysis, and financial organization.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
