Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Bookkeeper to join our dealership team. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily operations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Benefits Health, Medical and Dental 401K Plan Paid time off and vacation Growth opportunities Employee vehicle purchase plans Family owned and operated Long term job security Flexible Work Schedule Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records for the dealership Process accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices and customer billing Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and general ledger entries Post deals, repair orders, parts invoices, and finance/lease transactions Calculate and post sales commissions, vehicle payoffs, and policy payments Assist with month-end and year-end closing, including financial reporting and audits Monitor and reconcile vehicle and parts inventory accounts Prepare 1099s and assist with budgets/forecasts as needed Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies Ensure compliance with internal controls, dealership policies, and financial regulations Qualifications Minimum 1-3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (automotive dealership experience strongly preferred) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, QuickBooks, etc.) a plus Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and reporting Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with integrity High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
