Job Description

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, reliable Bookkeeper to support daily financial operations within our property management portfolio. This role is essential to maintaining accurate owner reporting, tenant ledgers, vendor payments, and compliance with state and company accounting standards. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with multiple properties and moving parts. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records for all managed properties, including income, expenses, deposits, and owner distributions. Reconcile bank accounts, trust accounts, and property-specific ledgers on a regular schedule. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor invoices, owner statements, and tenant payments. Track rent collections, late fees, security deposits, and move‑out accounting. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for property owners. Ensure compliance with Missouri landlord‑tenant accounting requirements. Assist with year‑end reporting, including 1099 preparation and tax documentation. Monitor and maintain accurate records in property management software (Buildium or similar). Support the property management team with financial insights, reporting needs, and audit preparation. Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for receipts, invoices, and financial documents.
Pay:
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
