Full Job Description Job Title:
Bookkeeper (QuickBooks Desktop Hosted Online) Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial tracking and ensure our accounts are perfectly balanced. In this role, your primary focus will be maintaining an immaculate ledger, processing transactions accurately, and performing flawless monthly reconciliations. Our financial system utilizes QuickBooks Desktop hosted online via a cloud environment . The ideal candidate must have proven experience navigating QuickBooks Desktop within a hosted/remote server framework. Core ResponsibilitiesAccount Balancing & Reconciliation:
Perform accurate monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts, credit cards, and lines of credit to ensure the ledger matches statement ending balances down to the penny.Transaction Management:
Download, categorize, and match daily bank feed transactions. Maintain a clean, organized Chart of Accounts.- Accounts Payable (AP): Review, code, and enter vendor invoices. Manage payment schedules to ensure bills are paid accurately and on time.
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate and send client invoices, accurately post incoming payments, and monitor AR aging reports to keep cash flow steady.
Payroll Processing:
Maintain precise records of employee hours, process regular payroll cycles, and ensure accurate payroll tax tracking.Data Integrity:
Investigate and resolve ledger discrepancies, un-matched transactions, or historical data entry errors systematically. Required Qualifications & SkillsQuickBooks Desktop Mastery:
Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience specifically using QuickBooks Desktop (Pro, Premier, or Enterprise).Note:
Experience limited strictly to QuickBooks Online (QBO) will not fit this role.Hosted Cloud Environment Comfort:
Direct experience logging into and working within a cloud-hosted desktop environment (e.g., Right Networks, Swizznet, Summit Hosting) via Remote Desktop Connection (RDP).Strong Accounting Fundamentals:
Deep understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, debits/credits, and how AR/AP workflows impact the general ledger.Discrepancy Resolution:
Proven ability to troubleshoot and fix bank reconciliation errors, uncleared transactions, and duplicate entries.- Attention to
Detail:
High level of precision in data entry and a habit of double-checking work. Preferred (But Not Required)- Active QuickBooks Desktop ProAdvisor certification.
Pay:
