Job Description

Job Overview We are a CPA firm and a bookkeeping business. We are looking to hire an ambitious and qualified bookkeeper to support our bookkeeping client base. Our firm focuses on small to mid-size businesses. The Team Member will use their bookkeeping expertise to remotely process monthly, weekly, or daily bookkeeping activities for a variety of assigned clients. The Team Member will be expected to communicate all aspects of client support and services with our office manager.
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of demonstrated ability to provide detailed bookkeeping and accounting support for/in a professional organization. Capacity and commitment to take on various clients for weekly maintenance. You must be able to communicate clearly and professionally - both orally and in writing. You must be able to identify and recommend areas to provide value-added services. Requirements Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role, with familiarity in double-entry bookkeeping principles. Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, or comparable systems. Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and accounting standards relevant to small business or corporate environments. Extensive use of MS Office Word & Excel for correspondence to clients, lenders, and regulators. Ability to work on-site only; this position requires physical presence at the workplace. The nature of our work and interaction with our clients requires that our team members be in the office. Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Solid understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, general ledger accounting, and account analysis. This position offers a flexible work schedule. This position requires a minimum of 5 dedicated hours each workday scheduled. The initial hourly rate ranges from $15 to $18; experience dependent. This position offers no benefits . The office is a state licensed, regulated, professional environment. As such, we have a minimum dress code ; "Office Professional". There is an expectation that the employment candidate will not have all the required skills listed in the job description. We are looking for a team member with a strong work ethic and the desire to learn.
