About the
Role:
We're looking for a highly organized and detail-focused Accounts Payable Processor with construction industry experience to join our accounting team. In this role, you'll be responsible for processing a high volume of invoices, managing vendor compliance documents, and ensuring accurate and timely payments for construction-related projects. This is a critical position that helps keep projects running smoothly and supports financial accuracy across the company.What You'll Do:
Process vendor invoices for subcontractors, suppliers, and construction-related expenses. Validate vendor documentation (W-9s, COIs, lien waivers) and ensure compliance. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in coordination with internal teams. Support month-end close, including AP accruals and reporting. Manage digital and physical AP files in line with audit and recordkeeping standards. Collaborate with project managers and procurement to address invoice/payment issues. Ensure proper GL coding and job cost allocation for all invoices. Handle weekly payment runs, including checks and ACH disbursements. Assist with annual 1099 preparation and distribution.What You Bring:
High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred. 2+ years of AP experience, preferably in construction or a project-based environment. Familiarity with construction documentation (AIA billing, COIs, lien waivers). Experience with accounting software such as Sage 100/300, Viewpoint, QuickBooks, GC Pay, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of job costing and general ledger processes. Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven, fast-paced setting. Nice toHave:
