This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting or finance career who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate records, and supporting internal operations. The Accounting Assistant will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card reconciliations, data entry, and other general accounting and administrative tasks. Responsibilities
  • Process invoices, track payments, and manage vendor accounts.
  • Responsible for AP/AP, reconciling bank and credit card statements.
  • Communicate with field team to ensure accuracy and timing for invoices, subtractor payments, insurance, etc.
  • Monitor and categorize expenses to support accurate budgeting and reporting.
  • Assist in tracking project costs and maintaining budgets for individual home builds.
  • Assist the Controller in gathering data and information for regular financial reports, including profit/loss statements and cash flow summaries.
  • Accurately record financial transactions in [accounting software, e.g., QuickBooks].
  • Support compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax preparation and audits.
  • Perform general office tasks, such as filing, answering calls, and organizing records.
  • As a growing organization, we often wear multiple hats and may have other assigned responsibilities. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance related field. Masters in Accounting is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or a similar industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive, reliable team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Self-initiating and looks for ways to improve and implement new ideas and initiatives.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
