  • Bookkeeper & Administrative Support Accounting Solutions is a well-established, rapidly growing regional CPA and Business Consulting firm specializing in tax and business consulting for small to mid-sized organizations.
We are CPAs and trusted business advisors for our clients, serving them through practical business advice rooted in a deep understanding of their financial situation. At Accounting Solutions, you'll work alongside a team of professionals with access to strong internal resources and opportunities for professional growth. The Bookkeeper / Administrative Support position provides essential support to staff accountants, managers, and the administrative team. This role combines bookkeeping and accounting support responsibilities with front office and administrative duties. The position operates under the supervision of a Staff Accountant or Manager and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting client engagements, and ensuring smooth daily office operations. Primary Responsibilities & Duties Bookkeeping & Accounting Support
  • Perform basic bookkeeping functions including data entry, account coding, and reconciliations
  • Assist with preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
  • Maintain and update client accounting records in QuickBooks or similar software
  • Assist in processing payroll and payroll tax filings
  • Organize and maintain digital and physical financial records
  • Request, collect, and organize client documentation
  • Support staff accountants with tax return preparation and other engagements
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of assigned work under supervision Administrative & Front Office Support
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally
  • Monitor and respond to firm email and text communication channels
  • Greet and assist clients and visitors at the front desk
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and managing calendars
  • Support document assembly, scanning, and electronic filing processes
  • Assist with client onboarding and administrative workflows
  • Maintain office organization and assist with general administrative tasks Compliance & Process Adherence
  • Follow firm policies, procedures, and established workflows
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and firm information at all times
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax and accounting regulations as directed
  • Stay current with basic accounting practices and firm systems Occasional Responsibilities & Duties
  • Assist with special projects or administrative initiatives
  • Provide support during peak tax season as needed
  • Participate in firm meetings and training sessions
  • Assist with supply management and office coordination tasks Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
  • 0-2 years of bookkeeping and administrative experience
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow direction

Pay:
$17.00
