Patient Accounts Receivable Advocate Cancer Partners of Nebraska - 3.7 Lincoln, NE Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description About the Role As a Patient Accounts Receivable Advocate, you will serve as a trusted resource for patients, helping reduce financial barriers to cancer treatment while ensuring patient accounts are managed with accuracy, professionalism, and empathy. This role combines patient advocacy with accounts receivable responsibilities, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on both the patient experience and the organization's financial health. What You'll Do Assist patients with financial assistance, copay, and medication support programs Help patients understand insurance coverage, benefits, and treatment costs Coordinate and track patient assistance applications and funding opportunities Establish payment plans and discuss account balances with patients in a compassionate manner Work with patients and insurance companies to resolve billing and coverage issues Support collections efforts through patient outreach and account follow-up Collaborate with clinical, pharmacy, and business office teams to ensure patients receive timely support What We're Looking For Three or more years of experience in healthcare, medical billing, patient financial services, or accounts receivable Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to balance financial discussions with empathy and professionalism Knowledge of insurance benefits, healthcare billing, and medical terminology preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Why Join Cancer Partners of Nebraska?
