Job Description
Position Purpose Working in close collaboration with the Senior Accounting Specialist, the Accounting Specialist ensures the timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions for the departmental and student organizations, by developing and implementing processes, providing staff support, and reconciling accounts and correcting errors. Description Required Qualifications
- Education and Yrs Exp Associates plus 2-3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Qualifications
- Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Associate's degree with business or accounting courses, or the equivalent combination of education and experience 2-3 years financial experience, working in a higher-education setting preferred.

//policies.dartmouth.edu/policy/tobacco-free-policy Additional Instructions Key Accountabilities Description Financial Management- Facilitates the processing of all financial transactions for the department and student organization accounts through regular communication with internal and external constituents; reviews monthly financial transactions for accuracy and prepares corrections and reports as necessary. Percentage Of Time 60 Description Student Organization Support
- Provides guidance to student organizations, including the Council on Student Organizations, the Programming Board, and Special Programs and Events Committee, by assisting with financial transactions and account management, and helping to navigate relevant College processes and policies.
- Provides administrative support with department projects and programs including facilitating communications and managing deadlines. Learns new software as needed and provides instruction to students. Percentage Of Time 20
- Demonstrates professionalism and collegiality through actions, interactions, and communications with others appropriate to an environment that is welcoming to all.
- Performs other duties as assigned
