Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations for a Long-term Contract position based in Clifton, New Jersey. This role is ideal for someone who can independently manage core bookkeeping activities, maintain accurate financial records, and keep payables and receivables moving efficiently. The right candidate will bring strong QuickBooks experience, sound reconciliation skills, and a dependable, organized approach to financial administration.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the full bookkeeping cycle, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and maintained in an organized manner.
  • Process vendor invoices, schedule payments, and monitor outgoing transactions to keep accounts payable current.
  • Prepare customer billing, track incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances to support healthy accounts receivable activity.
  • Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to verify records, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain and update financial information in QuickBooks, including journal entries, account coding, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with month-end financial close activities by reviewing records and preparing reports needed for internal review.
  • Monitor daily accounting activity and help improve the accuracy and consistency of bookkeeping procedures.
