Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk in Union County, NJ. In this role you will be responsible for accounts payables, accounts receivables, collections, payment processing, and more. Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable activities with strong attention to accuracy and timeliness.
- Support collection efforts by monitoring outstanding balances and following up as needed.
- Examine incoming cash receipts and apply payments appropriately to customer accounts.
- Create and maintain new customer records within the system, ensuring all information is entered correctly.
- Use Excel to organize financial information.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting related field.
- Background in collections or customer account follow-up is preferred.
- Working knowledge of invoice processing, cash application, and basic account reconciliation practices.
- Experience navigating accounting systems for daily transaction work.
- Strong Excel skills, including the ability to work with spreadsheets.
- Accurate data entry skills with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail.
