In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help us streamline our financial processes, support budgeting efforts, and provide clear financial reporting. We are looking for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about precision and organization. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliation. Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data across all accounts. Handle accounts payable and receivable to maintain healthy cash flow. Maintain the general ledger by recording all financial transactions in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Prepare detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and budget analyses to support decision-making. Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. Support month-end closing activities by verifying debits & credits, posting journal entries, and ensuring accuracy in the financial records. Support fundraising efforts by obtaining raffle license applications and preparing report of operations for raffles, assist in maintaining donor database, and assist in preparing for fundraising events. Support the front office staff by assisting with day-to-day office functions, such as answering phones, greeting visitors and filing, ensuring that all operations run smoothly. Experience Proven bookkeeping experience with a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping and accounting systems. Knowledge of accounting standards including GAAP and best practices for general ledger reconciliation. Experience in corporate or non-profit accounting environments is highly desirable. Strong skills in spreadsheets and financial report writing to analyze data effectively. Ability to perform account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis efficiently. Prior experience with accounts payable/receivable management, and budgeting is preferred. Embark on this exciting journey with us!
