Assistant Bookkeeper Paramus, NJ Job Details Part-time $25 - $30 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork Microsoft Excel Oracle Corporate accounting Attention to detail Organizational skills Full Job Description Join our team as an Assistant Bookkeeper. This role offers the opportunity to support our accounting department by managing essential bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining seamless financial records. You will work closely with senior controllers to uphold the integrity of our financial data, contributing to the overall success of our organization. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a keen eye for detail, and are eager to grow your accounting skills, this position is perfect for you! Assist with daily bookkeeping activities including data entry and transaction recording using Oracle. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes by verifying invoices, processing payments, and reconciling statements Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closing procedures Maintain organized records of financial documents, including invoices, receipts, and reports for audit readiness Assist with remittance processes within our specific Title Industry (will train). Proficiency in Oracle a requirement. Experience in Excel is preferred. Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and non-profit accounting practices Experience with double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation techniques Excellent attention to detail along with strong organizational skills Effective communication skills for financial report writing and collaboration with team members This role is part-time.

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
