Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help support our organization's financial health by performing essential bookkeeping functions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. Responsibilities Record and process journal entries using accounting software such as QuickBooks. Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy of financial data. Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify the integrity of financial statements. Prepare detailed financial reports, including statements related to governmental accounting and non-profit accounting standards (GAAP). Assist with tax preparation, and compliance activities related to financial reporting. Support budgeting processes by analyzing expenses and revenues to aid in financial planning. Qualifications Proven experience with accounting software QuickBooks. Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and double-entry bookkeeping. Familiarity with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation. Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently along with attention to detail in account analysis. Experience with payroll processing, tax filing procedures, and financial report writing is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately under tight deadlines. $24.50 - $25.00 per hour
