Accounting Clerk - Secaucus, NJ (On-Site) Join the Artistic Tile Team Artistic Tile is a recognized leader in luxury natural stone, porcelain, glass, and ceramic tile. We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our Accounting Department in Secaucus, New Jersey. This position is ideal for an organized professional who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting a collaborative accounting team. Position Summary The Accounting Clerk performs a variety of accounting and administrative functions that support the daily operations of the Accounting Department. This position's focus is Invoicing and related issues/cases but also assists with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, reconciliations, and general accounting activities while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and timely processing. Essential Responsibilities Manage the Companies Invoicing. Reconcile daily shipments/BOL's to ensure that all outgoing shipments are invoiced. Assist with accounts receivable, including cash application and customer account maintenance. Assist with Resale Certificate gathering and Tax-exempt activities/issue Process accounts payable invoices and vendor payments. Assist with the reconciliation of customer and vendor accounts and investigate discrepancies. Prepare and maintain accounting records, reports, and supporting documentation. Enter financial transactions accurately into the company's ERP system. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities. Prepare bank deposits and assist with bank reconciliations. Maintain organized accounting files in both electronic and paper formats. Respond to internal and external inquiries in a professional and timely manner. Assist with special accounting projects and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Two or more years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred. Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting principles. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Experience using ERP or accounting software; Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while meeting deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Preferred Experience Experience in manufacturing, wholesale distribution, or construction-related industries. Experience processing high volumes of invoices and financial transactions. Familiarity with sales tax and vendor documentation.
