Westfield, NJ Job Details Part-time From $25 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Microsoft Office Paychex Accounting QuickBooks Organizational skills Full Job Description New Jersey Festival Orchestra, the area's premier professional symphony orchestra based in Westfield NJ, is looking for a part-time bookkeeper and office associate to handle bookkeeping for the organization, participate in box office management and assist the chief administrator other areas of administration and concert production. Bookkeeping responsibilities include managing data in QuickBooks (accounts payable, accounts receivables, bank reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting etc.) and assisting the chief administrator to process payroll in ADP. Box office responsibilities include management of TIX (the online ticketing system), set-up and management of venue box office day/night of events (approximately 8 concerts per year), maintaining customer data bases and preparation of ticketing reports. Must maintain good patron relations. Administrative responsibilities include scheduling auditions and rentals, supporting marketing/public relations/fundraising functions and basic office/clerical duties. Concert production duties might include on-site event planning/oversight and coordination.
Hours:
10 hours/week + concerts and events.
Qualifications:
basic accounting knowledge, proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office, superior people and organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a busy environment. Interest in the Arts and/or classical music a plus. Position available immediately.
