Job Description

About the Role Access Solutions is a residential remodeling company that specializes in working with health insurances, state programs along with the private public to provide modifications to home to improve the accessibility of conditions in the home. Access Solutions is looking for a versatile Bookkeeper & Insurance Biller to join our team. In this role, you'll be a vital link between our clients, care coordinators, and the modifications we provide. In this role there will be a mix of traditional accounting, specialized insurance billing, and appointment coordination.
Key Responsibilities Financial Management:
Maintain accurate books, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll support, and general ledger maintenance.
Insurance Billing:
Manage specialized billing for environmental modifications; navigate insurance portals and ensure all claims are submitted accurately and timely.
Coordination & Outreach:
Act as the primary point of contact for Care Coordinators to verify authorizations and project status.
Scheduling:
Manage the calendar for home modification assessments.
Administrative Support:
Maintain organized digital and physical files for all active and historical projects.
What We're Looking For Experience:
Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting (QuickBooks experience is a mandatory).
Industry Knowledge:
Experience with insurance billing—specifically within healthcare or environmental modifications—is highly preferred.
Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for professional correspondence with coordinators and clients.
Multitasking:
The ability to pivot between financial data entry and active phone/email coordination. Benefits & Perks We value our employees' hard work and understand that life happens outside of the office.
Starting Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour (depending on experience).
