Full Job Description SUMMARY:
Under close supervision performs routine and repetitive accounting clerical duties in areas of accounting and finance. Follows well established routines to accomplish assignments such as sorting and filing accounting records and data, entering info into the accounting system, collecting simple information, posting records, compiling routine data, making and checking and basic calculations. Assist members and employeesalike with a pleasant and helpful demeanor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain Credit Union policies, procedures, and standards for accounting within the organization in accordance with our Standards of Conduct and with strict confidentiality. Performs calculations, postings and accounting functions requiring acquired knowledge of specified accounting policies and practices. File documents, compile data, enter data, and make basic calculations. Reconciles and certifies all Balance Sheet GL accounts daily/weekly/monthly, along with other related balancing tasks. Reconciles difficult report discrepancies and problems. Assists in the process of receiving, recording, and processing invoices and reimbursement requests, along with making timely payments to third-party vendors, partners, and staff. Review exception clearing items, along with all non-branch check deposits based on established guidelines. Review postings/account history to ensure that transactions are accurate and posted to the correct account. Maintains current knowledge of industry and trends by attending periodic industry specific training and submits recommendations for improved operations. Assist staff throughout the organization with accounting situations of escalated difficulty. Assume other responsibilities consistent with the scope and level of the position.

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION TYPE
Must have a high school diploma or GED. Basic Qualification Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and a high-level understanding of accounting practices, financial reporting, credit union investments Basic Qualification A minimum of two (2) years accounting or bookkeeping experience. Basic Qualification Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Preferred Qualification Prior experience working in a credit union or banking environment Preferred Qualifications

Basic Qualification Technical Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Basic Qualification Oral and Written Communication Excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively before a group of members or employees of the Credit Union, and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in a multitude of forms. Basic Qualification Analytical Thinking Excellent analytical skills, and the ability to conduct thorough research. Provide workable recommendations and solutions to problems. Basic Qualification Credit Union and Regulatory Must be bondable. Basic Qualification An understanding of the regulatory process of credit unions. Broad knowledge of, and practical experience with, credit union or other financial institution operating areas, functions, products and services. Thorough understanding of, and ability to interpret all laws and regulations which apply to credit unions. Preferred Qualifications
