Desktop applications QuickBooks Data entry Organizational skills Productivity software Associate's degree Time management Full Job Description Description Looking for a detail-oriented finance professional to join our team as a full-charge Bookkeeper. Candidate must be a competent self-starter ensuring the financial operations run smoothly and efficiently and be able to prepare accurate financial information. Experience with QuickBooks (QB) is required. In this position, you'll be responsible for a variety of financial and administrative functions, including: Reviewing and processing accounts payable invoices and preparing payments via checks, electronic payments or ACH payments Managing billing processes, including invoicing, and tracking receipts Preparing and submitting electronic bank deposits Recording all financial information into QB and the issuance of financial reports Completing all required journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records Monitoring daily cash flow of bank accounts Monthly bank reconciliations Supporting bi-weekly payroll by reviewing timesheets and submitting same with control totals for submission to ADP Supporting program initiatives and special projects Performing general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and correspondence Maintaining organized, up-to-date records and documentation Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field preferred) 2+ years of experience in finance, bookkeeping, or accounting-related role utilizing QuickBooks Strong computer skills with proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word required and basic knowledge of other MS Office apps Working knowledge of general accounting principles Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work on-site in Cohoes, NY Preferred Skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to maintaining impeccable financial integrity while supporting the organization's mission through expert bookkeeping!
