Our warehouse and distribution team prides itself on fast service, strong vendor partnerships, and a reputation contractors trust. As we continue expanding, we're looking for an talented Bookkeeper to join our team. Position Overview The ideal candidate will have proven hands-on experience in bookkeeping or accounting, a strong understanding of financial processes, and experience working in a distribution center and inventory-heavy environment. This role requires someone who is organized, accurate, and comfortable interacting with a diverse group of colleagues, and a large number of SKUs This role is fully on-site in Flushing, NY. Fluency in Chinese is a huge plus, but not required. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) Process invoices, payments, and expense reports accurately and in a timely manner Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes Maintain general ledger and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and reporting activities Work closely with operations and warehouse teams to support distribution-related accounting processes Maintain accurate records within accounting systems and ensure compliance with company policies Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2-3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience Proficiency in QuickBooks and Fishbowl inventory/accounting software (required) Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including AP, AR, invoicing, reconciliations, and financial reporting Experience working in a distribution center or inventory-driven environment High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong organizational and time management skills Preferred Experience with inventory accounting and cost tracking Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Comfortable working with a diverse group of individuals What You'll Gain Collaborative and inclusive work environment Stable and growing company Opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of accounting
