Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will manage the day-to-day financial record-keeping processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will support the organization's financial health by maintaining precise records, reconciling accounts, and processing transactions efficiently. Responsibilities Maintain and update financial records using accounting software Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and promptly Prepare journal entries, including debits & credits, to record financial activities in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Reconcile bank statements, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts regularly to ensure data integrity Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements Conduct account analysis and general ledger reconciliation to identify discrepancies or errors Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and other reports for internal review or external reporting purposes Support budgeting processes and provide insights through detailed account analysis Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintain thorough documentation of all transactions Experience Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts Hands-on experience with popular accounting software such as QuickBooks Familiarity with corporate accounting practices as well as non-profit accounting is preferred Demonstrated ability to manage payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations effectively Knowledge of GAAP standards and double-entry bookkeeping methods Strong proficiency in spreadsheets for data analysis and report writing Experience working within public accounting environments is a plus Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform account reconciliation accurately under tight deadlines Join us as a Bookkeeper and become an essential part of our finance team!
