Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations for a team in Plainview, New York. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage the full bookkeeping cycle with accuracy, maintain organized financial records, and help keep payables, receivables, and reconciliations on track. The person in this role will work independently while partnering closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and reliable financial processing.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the complete bookkeeping process, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting routine accounting activities.
  • Process vendor invoices, schedule payments, and monitor outgoing transactions to ensure accounts payable is handled promptly.
  • Prepare customer invoicing, record incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances to support accounts receivable functions.
  • Reconcile bank accounts on a regular basis, investigate discrepancies, and resolve variances in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update accounting data within QuickBooks to support consistent and accurate reporting.
  • Review financial transactions for completeness and accuracy, ensuring documentation is properly organized and accessible.
  • Assist with periodic reporting and account reviews to help leadership understand current financial activity.
