Job Summary Temporary Bookkeeper (Part-Time)
Location:
Suffern, NY (In-Office) About Us We are a growing community association management company serving condominium and homeowners' associations throughout Rockland County, NY and Northern New Jersey. We pride ourselves on professionalism, responsiveness, and delivering exceptional financial and operational support to the communities we manage. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Temporary Part-Time Bookkeeper to assist with community association accounting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on AppFolio accounting experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment. This position also offers the opportunity to learn and utilize Rent Manager software in support of our luxury apartment portfolio, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their property management accounting experience. Responsibilities Process accounts payable and accounts receivable Reconcile bank accounts Prepare monthly financial reports Assist with owner/resident account reconciliations Process deposits and maintain accurate financial records Support month-end and year-end closing procedures Maintain organized accounting files and documentation Work within AppFolio Association Financials Learn and assist with Rent Manager accounting functions as needed Perform other bookkeeping and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Prior bookkeeping experience required Experience with AppFolio Association Financials strongly preferred Experience with Rent Manager is a plus, but not required Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting Excellent organizational and time management skills High attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently What We Offer Competitive hourly pay Flexible part-time schedule Professional, team-oriented work environment Opportunity to expand skills into multiple property management accounting platforms Potential for future opportunities as our company continues to grow If you have experience in property management accounting and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, we'd love to hear from you.
