Join trak group in partnering with a growing client seeking an Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day financial transactions, reporting, reconciliations, and month-end activities. This role provides exposure across accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, treasury, and other financial processes while working closely with internal teams, vendors, customers, and third-party partners. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with financial data while following established accounting procedures and deadlines.

Responsibilities Perform accurate and timely financial data entry, scanning, filing, and transaction processing. Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. Process financial documents according to established policies and procedures. Review data batches for accuracy and distribute for final approval. Assist with monthly financial reporting, reconciliations, and journal entries. Support month-end close and verify ledger activity for accuracy. Process and reconcile intercompany transactions. Assist with vendor setup, validation, and AP transaction processing. Process cash receipts, applications, banking activity, and AR transactions. Maintain general ledger activity including fixed assets, PP&E, sales and use tax, and intercompany charges. Record and reconcile cash activity and support treasury transactions, including deposits and outgoing wires. Assist with tax compliance, reporting, research, and document retention as needed. Communicate with internal business units, vendors, customers, and third-party affiliates to resolve transaction-related questions. Maintain accurate financial documentation and records. Must-Haves Associate degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. General knowledge of basic accounting principles. Experience with financial data entry and transaction processing. Exposure to AP, AR, general ledger, reconciliations, and/or month-end close. Strong attention to detail with the ability to self-check work for accuracy. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based financial systems. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to follow established accounting procedures and meet deadlines. Professional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently with some oversight as well as collaboratively within a team. Dependable, adaptable, and comfortable learning new financial processes. Preferred Experience with journal entries and account reconciliations. Exposure to intercompany accounting, fixed assets, or cash management. Accounts payable and accounts receivable experience. Experience supporting month-end close. Previous experience in a shared services or transactional accounting environment.
