Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Description Summary The CAS Specialist is responsible for handling day-to-day bookkeeping for a variety of clients. This includes managing transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing accurate financial reports. CAS Specialists work closely with senior team members and managers to ensure client records are maintained to a high standard. This role requires strong attention to detail, time management skills, and a willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities Record financial transactions and reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts Categorize and review expenses, income, and payroll entries Maintain up-to-date books for assigned clients throughout the month Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and reports Communicate with clients regarding missing information, questions, or clarifications Support senior staff with clean-up projects or onboarding tasks as needed Ensure files and documentation are properly saved and organized Collaborate with tax and admin teams to ensure seamless client service Software Knowledge & Expectations Working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop; familiarity with QuickBooks Online a plus Track work and update tasks in Podio Skills and Qualifications 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience (public accounting or small business preferred) Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and reconciliations Payroll experience preferred High attention to detail and accuracy Professional written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Willingness to ask questions and take feedback constructively The list of duties and skills above is not intended to be all inclusive, but to be an overview of the position in general.
