Job Description

Accounting Specialist II (Payroll) Valliant, OK Salary Range ($48,300-$64,400) - Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills, and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP's short-term incentive plan. This position is a non-exempt position that works under the direction of the Mill Controller in Valliant, Oklahoma. Valliant is a 4,000+ ton per day containerboard mill with 3 paper machines, 3 continuous digesters, 3 secondary fiber plants and a utilities/chemical recovery complex. It currently operates with 300 mill employees and 150 contract maintenance employees in a results oriented environment. This position is responsible for providing accounting and administrative support to the accounting department and other managers within the Mill. The incumbent will perform a variety of routine and some non-routine clerical/accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures. Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Hourly Payroll Processor in WorkForce Weekly Overtime Report Raw Materials Receiving Reconciliation of Chip and OCC (Fiber) Rail Receipts Manage Accounts Receivable for Scrap Sales Perform Weekly, Monthly, and Annual Financial Audits Perform Weekly Reconciliation of Inventories Perform Month-end Closing Duties Complete Miscellaneous Finance Reports Support Accounting Personnel Provide Miscellaneous Administrative Duties Process Miscellaneous Accounts Payable/Receivable Participate in
Special Projects Qualifications:
3+ years of accounting and/or finance experience; work experience in manufacturing facility highly desirable Preferred candidate will possess accounting/payroll experience Proven ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to team success Experience and working knowledge in various PC Applications such as Microsoft Excel Preferred candidate will possess proficiency in SAP A/P and General Ledger Strong Organizational skills Strong initiative and self-motivation, with excellent written, verbal, and active listening skills High attention to detail Good customer service skills with the ability to resolve conflict Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
