Job Overview Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our construction company. This position offers an opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the financial health of our business while enjoying a flexible part-time schedule. The ideal candidate will have experience with bookkeeping and accounting practices, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing timely financial information to support business operations. Responsibilities Record and maintain accurate financial transactions using QuickBooks. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations. Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts. Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate bookkeeping records following GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Assist with payroll processing and payroll reporting. Prepare monthly and year-end financial reports. Assist with budgeting, account analysis, and financial planning. Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems. Work closely with management on daily accounting functions and financial reporting. Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all financial information. Qualifications Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience is required. Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks is required. Experience with QuickBooks Online is a plus. Experience working in the construction industry is preferred but not required. College degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred . Strong understanding of accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping . Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High level of integrity and professionalism when handling confidential financial information.
