Job Description
The Kelley Financial Group is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper and Payroll Processor to join our accounting team. No college degree or prior bookkeeping or payroll experience is required. We are willing to train the right person. This position is a good fit for someone who is organized, comfortable working with numbers, willing to learn, and able to manage recurring tasks and deadlines. The person in this role will assist with bookkeeping, payroll processing, financial reporting, and client communication for small-business clients. Responsibilities Process weekly, biweekly, semimonthly, and monthly payrolls Review employee hours, pay rates, deductions, reimbursements, and payroll changes Assist with quarterly and annual payroll tax filings Prepare Forms W-2 and 1099 Complete monthly bookkeeping for multiple business clients Prepare basic financial reports Communicate with clients regarding bookkeeping and payroll questions Assist with payroll registrations, notices, and account maintenance Maintain organized and accurate client records Work closely with accountants during tax season and throughout the year Qualifications No college degree required No prior bookkeeping or payroll experience required Willingness to learn bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting procedures Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good organizational and time-management skills Comfortable working with numbers and computer software Ability to manage recurring deadlines and multiple client accounts Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive financial information Dependable, professional, and able to work independently Experience with QuickBooks or payroll software is helpful, but not required
