Job Description

Job description Carlisle accounting and tax preparation office currently has a position open for a Payroll and Bookkeeping Specialist. Payroll experience would be beneficial but not required. This position will manage bookkeeping and payroll relationships for a select group of existing clients. Flexible schedules are available outside of the spring busy season. Opportunity for overtime will be present throughout the first quarter of each year. Compensation will be based on experience. Our office prepares payroll and performs bookkeeping services for many small to mid-sized clients who depend on us to help manage their businesses and pay their employees. A college degree is not required but would be encouraged to apply. If a candidate would not have an accounting degree, then the candidate should have extensive bookkeeping and payroll experience. Accounting CS, Accounting CS Payroll, UltraTax, QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Office experience would be a plus. Candidates applying should have the following skills:
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with preparing payroll and some tax and bookkeeping knowledge
  • Ability to work well with others in a professional and confidential environment
  • An understanding of financial statements and basic bookkeeping
  • Be self-motivating and able to manage and prioritize tasks while being consistent and dependable.
