Part-time Accounting Assistant | Temporary position $30-$40/hr. | On-Site Conshocken, PA Our client, a well-established nonprofit organization in Conshohocken, is seeking a Part-Time Accounting Assistant to support their Finance team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working with numbers, spreadsheets, financial information, and administrative projects. The Accounting Assistant will provide hands-on support to the Finance team by maintaining accurate financial records, updating spreadsheets and systems, and assisting with a variety of accounting and year-end activities.
Schedule:
Part-time, 2-3 days per week | Approximately 6-8 hours per day A day in the life of an Accounting Assistant Verify and correct banking information entered into the organization's new accounting system. Update and maintain contract and expense tracking spreadsheets. Assist with updating budget workbooks and spreadsheets during budget season. Download, organize, and file investment statements and financial reports. Assist with 1099 preparation and year-end compliance activities. Review financial information for accuracy and completeness. Perform data entry and maintain organized financial records. Provide general administrative and accounting support to the Finance team. Assist with special projects and other Finance-related tasks as needed. Requirements for the Accounting Assistant position Previous experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or a related administrative role. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with spreadsheets and financial data. Experience working with an accounting system or financial software. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to review information carefully and identify discrepancies or items that need to be corrected. Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a small Finance team. Professional communication skills and a willingness to assist with a variety of accounting and administrative projects. EOE employer. IND123
