POSITION SUMMARY
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, and the ability to reconcile complex accounts and identify discrepancies. This position will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, reconciling accounts, and providing accurate financial information to management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks Perform monthly bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations Reconcile complex balance sheet and expense accounts and investigate discrepancies Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Review vendor invoices, customer payments, and account balances for accuracy Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures Assist with vendor statements and other accounting-related filings and reporting Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation Assist management and the accounting team with financial analysis and special projects Help identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 1-3
years of bookkeeping or accounting experience Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online Advanced or strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting/filtering, and data analysis Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to reconcile complex accounts and research discrepancies Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information Strong written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Manufacturing or product-based business experience a plus Experience with purchase orders, receiving, vendor invoices, and inventory-related transactions Experience assisting with month-end financial close Experience working with an ERP or accounting system in addition to QuickBooks
