The Accounting Operations Specialist provides high-volume Accounts Payable support, general ledger assistance, inventory reconciliation, licensing management, and cross-department operational support for a multi-unit franchise organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys mastering their craft, values stability, and thrives in a detail-oriented, fast-paced environment. Youll work remotely while supporting 20+ restaurant locations across multiple brands. The position offers significant growth in accounting skills, systems knowledge, and operational experience. While internal upward mobility is limited due to our lean structure, the depth of experience gained here prepares you for advancement in larger organizations. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable & General Accounting Enter 300+ invoices weekly into accounting software Prepare and post journal entries Perform account reconciliations Manage online bill pay, vendor communication, and vendor maintenance Process credit card statements and insurance premium payments Track and process expense reports Operational & Administrative Support Maintain and renew licenses/permits for 20+ physical locations (food service, fire, occupancy, vehicles, workers comp, etc.) Serve as backup for daily cash deposit management and investigate discrepancies Make bank deposits when needed Sort, file, and maintain records according to retention policies Purchase equipment and supplies as needed Update inventory pricing and assist with monthly inventory reconciliation Cross-Department Collaboration Work closely with HR and Operations to support restaurant teams Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in person Build and maintain relationships with coworkers, suppliers, and vendors Complete all daily/weekly/monthly assignments and reports Perform additional tasks as needed to support business operations Key Behaviors Strong organizational awareness High attention to detail Effective team collaboration Solid technical accounting knowledge Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent planning and work management High personal work standards Position Type & Work Environment Full-time, Exempt MondayFriday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work-from-home position Remote work arrangements may evolve based on business needs Occasional onsite visits to store locations or corporate office Extended hours may be required during peak periods Physical Requirements Frequent use of hands for typing, writing, and handling documents Regular use of computers, tablets, calculators, and office equipment Ability to lift 10 lbs regularly, 25 lbs frequently, 50 lbs occasionally Ability to sit for 810 hours/day during remote work Required Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience 1+ years Accounts Payable and general ledger experience Working knowledge of accounting principles Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Basic proficiency in Outlook and PowerPoint Experience with business accounting software Strong attention to detail and follow-up Reliable transportation for occasional travel Valid drivers license and acceptable motor vehicle record Ability to pass drug and background screening English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking) Strong mathematical and reasoning skills Must be at least 18 years of age U.S. work authorization Preferred Qualifications Associates Degree in Accounting 2+ years AP/GL experience Multi-unit or multi-entity experience (preferred but not required) Compensation, Benefits & Perks Annual Base Salary, commensurate with experience Discretionary Bonus Program Work-From-Home Position Monthly Technology Stipends Free Meals at Company-Owned Restaurant Locations Health, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability Insurance Package 100% Employer-Sponsored Telemedicine Benefit Paid Vacation Bereavement Leave Training & Development Classes Store Discounts Career Skills EEO Statement Miller Management, LLC is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, national origin, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, marital or family status, or veteran status.
