ATA Services, Inc., is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Technician to join our client, the Colorado Department of Public Safety. This full-time position offers a remote work environment with monthly on-site visits.

Location:

Hybrid - on-site training and monthly on-site visits required

Pay Range:

$24.50 per hour

Duration:

Reoccuring 9 months.

Responsibilities:

This position reviews bills being sent in by fire departments. Fire departments send people all over the U.S. to wildland fires and want to be paid for those expenses. This position will review supporting documentation attached to the bills as well as apply State rules on what is or is not allowed to be submitted. The person needs to be analytical and detailed. We prefer someone who has previous experience in Accounts Payable or reviewing detailed paperwork.

Skills/Qualifications:

Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to understand complex pay policies. Intermediate or above level of expertise in Excel. Excellent communication skills, both email and phone.
