Job Description

Expected assignment length is approximately 4 months. Real estate management company with a limited public footprint and no significant website presence due to operating through various LLCs.
Hybrid schedule:
2 days onsite, 3 days remote. Responsibilities Essential functions of the job are listed below: Review all submitted invoices to ensure proper approval and compliance with A/P policies and internal controls. Determine proper invoice coding for general ledger, entity, and property. Enter approved invoices in accounting software (Yardi Voyager or Yardi Elevate) accurately and timely. Some are intercompany payables. Enter recurring payables in Yardi Voyager or Yardi Elevate accurately and timely. Apply payments to payable on a timely basis. Maintain an organized and accurate filing system for check copies and other payment confirmations, stop payment confirmations, invoices, and reports. Respond to vendor and team inquiries promptly and provide timely resolutions. Review A/P aging report weekly for accuracy. Follow up on invoice statements by verifying payments and advising vendors as needed. Work with the team on month-end A/P closing and reconciliations. Request and file W-9 forms from new vendors. Create approved new vendors in Yardi Voyager or Yardi Elevate. Prepare and file form 1099 annually (due in January of each year). Perform additional accounts payable tasks and any other special projects as assigned.
