Accounts Payable Lead

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Lead with over 10 years of expertise to join our team on a contract basis. This role is remote and involves overseeing the accounts payable function while driving improvements in payment processes and controls. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in financial services and a proven ability to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the accounts payable function, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in vendor payments.
• Develop and implement best practices for procure-to-pay processes to enhance efficiency and control.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Utilize NetSuite and other financial systems to manage workflows effectively.
• Analyze current processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Oversee the resolution of payment discrepancies and vendor inquiries promptly.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring clear communication and adherence to payment terms.
• Provide guidance and leadership to the accounts payable team.
• Monitor key metrics and prepare reports to track performance and progress. Requirements
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
• Proficiency in NetSuite and other financial systems; Zip preferred
• Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and account reconciliation.
• Experience in financial services or cryptocurrency industries is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing off-shore teams required
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
